Wardrobe design, built around what you actually own

Sliding, hinged or walk-in — layouts planned around your room dimensions, storage habits and daily routine, designed and installed in-house by a single team.

Overview

Wardrobes designed for how you actually dress and store

A modular wardrobe is built from pre-engineered panels and shutters, assembled around your room's exact dimensions instead of carpentered on-site piece by piece. That means tighter tolerances, cleaner finishes and a shorter installation window compared to traditional carpentry.

At The Kitchen Interior, every wardrobe starts with a site visit — we measure your space, understand what you need to store, and map shutter clearance, loft space and internal layout before a single panel is drawn. Design, carpentry and installation are handled by our own in-house team, so there's no handoff between a designer and a separate contractor, and no subcontracted labour.

Choosing a Type

Which wardrobe type fits your space?

The right wardrobe depends on your room size, door clearance and how much you need to store. Here's a quick guide to the types we design most often across Delhi NCR homes.

Sliding Door Wardrobe

Shutters slide sideways instead of swinging open, so no floor clearance is needed in front. Ideal for smaller bedrooms or where furniture sits close by.

Best for small to medium bedrooms

Hinged (Openable) Wardrobe

Traditional swing-out shutters with full access to every shelf and hanging rod at once. Costs less per shutter than sliding systems.

Best for bedrooms with clearance space

Walk-In Wardrobe

A dedicated dressing room with open shelving, hanging rails and drawers on multiple sides. Turns wardrobe storage into its own space.

Best for large bedrooms or spare rooms

Wardrobe with Loft

Standard wardrobe height topped with a loft unit for suitcases, blankets and off-season storage. Uses your full wall height.

Best for homes needing extra storage

Corner Wardrobe

Wraps around a room corner to use wall space that would otherwise sit empty, keeping the rest of the room free.

Best for L-shaped or irregular rooms

Modular Wall Wardrobe

A slim, floor-to-ceiling unit fixed flush against a single wall — mirrors, drawers and hanging space in one shallow footprint.

Best for compact rooms and 1BHKs
Finishes

Materials we work with

Every finish is chosen for a different mix of budget, durability and look. We'll walk you through samples of each during your design consultation.

Laminate

Budget-friendly, scratch-resistant and available in wood and solid tones. The most common choice for everyday wardrobes.

Acrylic

A high-gloss, mirror-like finish that reflects light well in smaller rooms. Wipes clean easily.

PU (Polyurethane)

A smooth, seamless matte or glossy finish with strong scratch and moisture resistance.

Veneer

A thin layer of real wood over the shutter base, for a natural wood texture without solid-wood pricing.

Build Quality

What's inside the wardrobe matters as much as the finish

A wardrobe is only as good as what's behind the shutters. We build every unit on BWP-grade waterproof ply and fit branded hardware, so drawers and shutters still glide smoothly years after installation.

BWP-grade ply100% waterproof carcass material, resists swelling in humid weather.
Hettich & Blum hardwareSoft-close hinges and sliding channels rated for years of daily use.
10-year warrantyOn cabinetry and hardware, documented at handover.
Planning Your Budget

What affects wardrobe cost

Every wardrobe is quoted after a site visit, but these are the main factors that move the price up or down.

Wardrobe size and type

A hinged wardrobe uses fewer running feet of shutter than a sliding or walk-in system, so type choice is usually the biggest cost driver.

Finish material

Laminate sits at the affordable end, acrylic and PU finishes cost more per shutter, and veneer adds further to the budget.

Internal accessories

Pull-out trays, trouser racks, jewellery drawers and mirror units add functionality and cost on top of the base structure.

Site conditions

Uneven walls or electrical rework for internal lighting add to both time and cost before installation can begin.
